Designed to fit in an opening in your wall, the inserted part is smaller than the facing which has a 2" frame around the door. The door has a solid panel on the bottom with an upper glass section decorated with a vintage "Apothecary" decal and opens upward with the help of a cylinder that will keep the door open when in use.
The facing can be either painted with a chalk paint as shown, slightly distressed, or stained. The painted finish is protected with a clear poly that won't yellow or stained from a choice of oil stain colours.
The prettiness continues inside with a patterned fabric to compliment the colour of the cabinet. Black "L" hinges and latch complete the Farmhouse look. The cabinet has a fixed shelf- one at the height of the glass panel (roughly 7.75" from the top of the cabinet) and the remaining shelves are adjustable. Number of shelves will be determined by the overall size of the cabinet. Additional shelves can be supplied on demand.
You may choose from a variety of colours as I use Fusion Mineral Paints colours. Please refer to colour chart.
The cabinet shown is 17" high and 24" wide and has a 2" frame which increases the overall facing dimension to 19.25" x 26.25". It is 4.25" (with frame) and recessed section is 3.5" and inside depth is roughly "3.25".
WHEN ORDERING
- supply the measurement of the opening that you will insert the cabinet: height, depth, and width. Measure diagonally (refer to diagram) to ensure they are the same. If the two measurements are different, use the smallest one. My cabinets are precisely T-square but if your opening varies, the frame around the door will hide any imperfections.
-If you wish to increase the depth of your cabinet (up to 8" exterior which would be roughly 7" interior) choose the option + extra depth and the size you require.
-If not otherwise stated, the color of the cabinet "Casement" as shown in the listing
-Because each cabinet is made to order and demands numerous finishing details processing time for each takes between 6-8 weeks to allow for completion. If you have a deadline to respect, please contact me.
